THAT, the agenda be adopted as presented.

THAT, the Council of the Township of Lanark Highlands supports the resolution from the Village of Merrickville Wolford regarding Expanding the Life of Fire Apparatus; AND THAT, this resolution be sent to Premier Doug Ford, the Honourable David Piccini, Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, Paul Calandra, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing; AND FURTHER THAT, this resolution be circulated to all Ontario municipalities, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) and the Eastern Ontario Warden's Caucus (EOWC).

THAT, the communications dated February 27th, 2024, be received as information.

THAT , the Council of the Township of Lanark Highlands directs staff to submit a letter of support to Lanark County for the application of funding through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities for the energy retrofit program funding being titled “Better Homes Lanark”; AND THAT , this matter be brought to the Council meeting of February 27, 2024, to ensure a letter of support is submitted to the County of Lanark prior to the February 29, 2024 deadline.

THAT , the Council Committee Appointment Updates (verbal) be received as information.

THAT , the Committee of the Whole meeting adjourn at 6:35 p.m.

THAT, the Committee of the Whole meeting minutes of February 13th, 2024, be approved as circulated.

THAT, the Council of the Township of Lanark Highlands supports the resolution from the Village of Merrickville Wolford regarding Expanding the Life of Fire Apparatus; TOWNSHIP OF LANARK HIGHLANDS COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING MINUTES February 27th, 2024 AND THAT, this resolution be sent to Premier Doug Ford, the Honourable David Piccini, Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, Paul Calandra, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing; AND FURTHER THAT, this resolution be circulated to all Ontario municipalities, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) and the Eastern Ontario Warden's Caucus (EOWC).

THAT, Committee of the Whole close the public meeting and DEFER consideration of Official Plan Amendment #6 to the Lanark Highlands Official Plan and Zoning By-Law Amendment ZA-2023- 04, to permit the establishment of a pit on lands described as Pt Lots 22 & 23, Concession 3, geographic Township of Darling, now in the Township of Lanark Highlands, known locally as 9665 County Road #511, to allow the applicant an opportunity to address the peer review comments on the Environmental Impact Study and provide a detailed ARA site plan and supporting studies; AND THAT, Council reschedules a new public meeting once the applicant has addressed the peer review comments and provided ARA details.
