THAT, the agenda be adopted as presented.

THAT , the Committee of the Whole meeting minutes of August 8th, 2023, be approved as circulated.

THAT , the communications dated August 24th, 2023 be received as information.

THAT , the 2023 Draft Budget be approved as presented; AND THAT , staff provide the 14-day notice of the adoption of the 2023 Draft Budget; AND FURTHER THAT , staff provide notice requesting comments from the public on the 2023 Draft Budget, to be incorporated into a staff report prior to the adoption of the budget.

THAT , staff forward Council’s comments regarding the Lanark County Climate Action Plan – First Draft as outlined in report COR-2023-13, to the County of Lanark; AND THAT , this matter be brought to the Council meeting of August 24 th so the comments can be forwarded within the requested timeline.

THAT , Council directs staff to apply to the Lanark County Grants Program and to proceed with Option # 1, in order to procure a HVAC, heating and cooling system for the Lanark & District Museum.

THAT, Council appoint Councillor Closs as the Council representative for the Lanark Highlands Police Service Board for the 2022-2026 term of Council.

THAT , the Council Committee Appointment Updates (verbal) be received as information.

THAT, the presentation by Tina Stevens, General Manager of Valley Heartland Community Futures Development Corporation, dated August 24th, 2023 be received as information.

THAT, Council directs staff to apply to the Lanark County Grants Program and to proceed with Option # 1, in order to procure a TOWNSHIP OF LANARK HIGHLANDS COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING MINUTES August 24th, 2023 HVAC, heating and cooling system for the Lanark & District Museum.

THAT, the Committee of the Whole meeting adjourn at 7:51 p.m.
